SANTO MAURO ASKED US TO COLLABORATE IN ALL ASPECTS OF ITS INTEGRAL RENOVATION, WHICH INVOLVED STRATEGIC DIRECTION, INTERIOR DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF VISUAL LANGUAGE. WE INVESTIGATED THE HISTORY OF THE FAMILY OF THE DUKE OF SANTO MAURO, FORMER RESIDENTS OF THE CURRENT HOTEL BUILDING. OUR CONCLUSION WAS TO COMBINE THE CODES OF HISTORICAL ARISTOCRACY WITH THOSE OF CONTEMPORARY LUXURY COMMUNICATION.

OUR CONCLUSION WAS TO COMBINE THE CODES OF HISTORICAL ARISTOCRACY WITH THOSE OF CONTEMPORARY LUXURY COMMUNICATION. WE DESIGNED THE LOGO INSPIRED BY 19TH CENTURY SPANISH TYPOGRAPHY AND A MONOGRAM WITH THE INITIALS SM COMBINED IN THE FORM OF A CROWN. WITH THE COLLABORATION OF EXTRATYPE WE DESIGNED A CORPORATE TYPEFACE FOR THE HOTEL, THE PROTAGONIST OF ALL PRINT, DIGITAL AND SIGNAGE APPLICATIONS.
